Our Founder's Story

 Our journey began in 2020 with a deep love for Rottweilers and a commitment to breeding exceptional family companions. Founded by a former corrections officer from a supermax facility in the U.S., Obenschutz Rottweilers emerged from a desire to offer reliable companionship and security for the founder’s wife. 

Relocation and a New Beginning

After relocating to Australia and working extensively in the security industry, our founder chose the Rottweiler breed to ensure his wife, a dedicated country doctor, had a steadfast companion and guardian during his frequent travels.

Excellence in Every Generation

 At Obenschutz Rottweilers, we are dedicated to breeding Rottweilers based on our founder's experience in observing the differences between working line Rottweilers and showline Rottweilers. Our goal is to combine the performance, health, athleticism, and intelligence of the working line Rottweilers with the calm temperament of the showline Rottweilers, creating the ultimate family companion. 

A Mom and Pop Operation with Heart

As a mom-and-pop hobby kennel, Obenschutz Rottweilers raises every puppy with love and care in a home environment. We take pride in knowing each of our dogs personally, ensuring they receive the best start in life and are ready to become cherished members of your family. See our journeys so far.
